St Albans District Council

Client: St Albans District Council

Enterprise AB (EAB) has been supplying Internet Services to the Council from 1995.

Project: Web and technical infrastructure

For a number of years EAB commissioned, installed and maintained a number of servers  at the heart of their IT infrastructure. These included in-house and remote servers, firewalls, access management systems and other technologies. This technical infrastructure met the Council's internal requirements for enabling all staff to access managed web and email services and also provides for delivery of the Council's services over the web (e-government).

Says Michael Scully, Communication Services Manager: "Over the last ten years EAB have been able to meet our increasing requirements for Internet services. EAB's involvement with the Council has grown from a simple web design requirement ten years ago to today's complex web and technical infrastructure. They have repeatedly demonstrated over the years that their cost-effective and reliable Open Source platform for the delivery of internet services can co-exist and integrate with other proprietary systems to deliver the Council’s online services to the public as well as enabling the Council's staff to make use of modern web-based technologies."
