The award-winning Yorkshire & Humber Grid for Learning is supported by 12 Local Authority members. It provides secure and reliable broadband connections with access to licensed content and many free resources to schools regionally and nationally.

In 2009 decided to appoint a developer to further improve its eZ Publish web presence. The aim: to become a regional centre for excellence and innovation in eLearning.

Enterprise AB (EAB) was chosen on its track record with successful eZ Publish projects. 

Approach

To establish a development strategy, the EAB team met with all the managers to fully understand the corporate objectives. The resulting workshop enabled us to produce a two-year plan for YHGFL to implement their vision.

Result

Since then EAB has been supporting YHGFL's three websites while developing and implementation of the Online Booking Application to allow YHGFL members and non-members to book themselves at events.

In 2010,  YHGFL was awarded the  ICT Excellence Award for Next Generation Learning Support for Schools.
