Welcome to the April issue of the EAB Newsletter dedicated to artists!
In this newsletter we expand on a business topic briefly mentioned in the previous issue - why it’s important to network. We also give you some advice on how to make your website more visible on the internet and therefore generate more traffic to it.
Your focus is creating works of art.

April tips
If you're serious about your website you will find these useful! Make note!!
- Call for action: phone, email, buy? By making easier to visitors to contact you you are more likely to be contacted!
- Register your studio with Google maps – encourage visitors to your area to come and visit your studio!
- Ask for references from clients and add them to the website with photos of your artwork in situ (their office or home).

Succeeding on the Internet
Please come to the Talkbar at the Beales Hotel in Hatfield on Thursday May 8th, do a bit of networking and listen to Andre's talk "How can an artist succeed on the Internet". This evening event is
a regular Networking event run by Creative Herts (www.creativeherts.com).
This
talk is aimed at those who are keen to make a living out of
their artistic gifts and provide useful tips on how to create
a winning strategy.
Although the talk includes loads of tips on what to do and
what not to do with a website it actually majors on a number
of necessary marketing activities which are necessary to be
successful.
Andre's
experience in web development is considerable as he's been
implementing web solutions since 1995 for a wide range of
clients, including local government, commercial organisations
and many small businesses. Andre has also business interest
and experience in the local art scene, both via his online
gallery ventures: enterprisefineart.com and island-of-art.com
and as being a long term Organising Group Committee member
of the Hertfordshire Visual Arts Forum. Andre runs a newsletter
